Where To Start
Research
In conducting research on many different toaster ovens, the specifics of one in particular, and the user experience I was able to analyze the current landscape of the toaster oven marketplace and the areas for improvement in both form and function.
What to Improve
Sketching ideas with intention to solve five different functional issues:
The Crumb Tray , The Handle, The Part Slot, The interior, & The Door
The Vision
Creating and combining the functional improvements into one finalized concept

Now that the function has been developed, I moved into finding a form that complements the functional use as well as providing an overall aesthetic beauty to the product.
